About Calgary

About the Venue & Calgary

The Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, a state-of-the-art venue located in the heart of Calgary.

Calgary is a dynamic city with picturesque prairie landscapes and a vibrant urban centre. It has famous cowboy spirit, but is also refined and cosmopolitan.  Calgary boasts a diverse culinary scene, incredible theatre, world-class attractions and great shopping, plus a great live music scene, plenty of stunning golf courses, and more days of sunshine to spend in more green spaces than any other Canadian city. It’s no wonder Calgary was named the most liveable city in North America by The Economist two years in a row!

Within the city limits, you can fly down 1800 metres of downhill track in a gravity powered luge cart at WinSport, Canada’s Olympic Park, catch a wave while
river surfing on the Bow River, and experience indoor skydiving at iFLY – and much more! Plus the province of Alberta is home to six UNESCO World Heritage
Sites, four of them within easy driving distance of Calgary.

Less than one hour west of Calgary is the stunning Canadian Rocky Mountains. To the east is Dinosaur Provincial Park and the Canadian Badlands. To the
south is Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, an ancient Aboriginal heritage site, Writing-on-Stone Provincial Park, and Waterton Glacier International Peace Park.
